Agent completion checklists

What’s still missing after a fact-finding form arrives. Work the list for the matching case type on your follow-up call, then file. Tap a case to open it.

Two rules that matter. Never let a client self-answer the I-485 Part 8 or N-400 Part 12 question batteries — walk through them live using the Part 8 interview script. And anything marked GUIDED, or involving criminal history, fraud, or hardship, goes to the client’s attorney. BlueTech prepares forms administratively; we do not advise on eligibility, strategy, or waivers.

I-130 / I-130A — Family Petition

Fact-finder covers ~55%

The fact-finder opens the case. USCIS requires biographic data and full histories for BOTH parties, plus the petitioner's proof of status.

Before filing: confirm form edition date, current fee, correct lockbox/filing address, signatures in black ink, and that every “N/A” is written in rather than left blank.

I-485 packet (with I-693 & I-864) — Adjustment of Status

Fact-finder covers ~45%

BIGGEST GAP. Part 8 of the I-485 is roughly 80 yes/no inadmissibility and security questions. Do NOT expect the client to self-answer these — walk through them live and document each answer.

Before filing: confirm form edition date, current fee, correct lockbox/filing address, signatures in black ink, and that every “N/A” is written in rather than left blank.

I-765 — Work Authorization

Fact-finder covers ~95% after update

Now close to complete. Verify the eligibility category is correct — that single field drives the whole filing.

Before filing: confirm form edition date, current fee, correct lockbox/filing address, signatures in black ink, and that every “N/A” is written in rather than left blank.

I-131 — Travel Document

Fact-finder covers ~90% after update

Now close to complete. Confirm the document type is right — advance parole vs. re-entry permit have different rules.

Before filing: confirm form edition date, current fee, correct lockbox/filing address, signatures in black ink, and that every “N/A” is written in rather than left blank.

N-400 — Naturalization

Fact-finder covers ~45%

BIGGEST GAP alongside I-485. Part 12 is ~50 good-moral-character and allegiance questions. Walk through them live; several require documents even when the answer is 'no'.

Before filing: confirm form edition date, current fee, correct lockbox/filing address, signatures in black ink, and that every “N/A” is written in rather than left blank.

I-90 / I-751 / I-539 / I-912 — Renewals & Other Requests

Fact-finder covers ~85% after update

Now largely complete for I-90 and I-539. I-751 waiver cases and I-912 need real evidence, not just answers.

Before filing: confirm form edition date, current fee, correct lockbox/filing address, signatures in black ink, and that every “N/A” is written in rather than left blank.

Always verify the current form edition date and filing fee on uscis.gov before preparing — USCIS changes both without notice.
